Study In Germany

Germany — the world's #3 study destination for international students — offers something no other major study destination can match: completely FREE tuition at all public universities for international students. With over 400 English-taught master's programmes and some of the world's best engineering, science, and business universities, Germany combines world-class academic excellence with near-zero tuition costs. Indian students pay only a semester administrative fee of EUR 100-350, which typically includes a public transport pass for the entire semester.

German universities are ranked among the world's best. Technische Universitat Munchen (TUM) consistently ranks in the global QS top 50. Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (LMU), RWTH Aachen University, Heidelberg University, and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) are all in the global top 100. Germany is the birthplace of the modern research university and remains a global leader in engineering, physics, chemistry, and computer science. BMW, Siemens, Volkswagen, Bosch, SAP, Mercedes-Benz, BASF, and Bayer were all founded by German engineers and scientists — and continue to recruit directly from German universities.

Indian students applying to German universities must obtain an APS Certificate (Akademische Prufstelle — Academic Evaluation Centre) — a mandatory credential evaluation process for Indian applicants. The APS process involves document verification and a brief interview at the German Embassy in New Delhi or the APS India office, and results in an APS Certificate confirming your academic credentials are genuine and meet German university entry standards. Additionally, Indian students must open a Blocked Account (Sperrkonto) of EUR 11,904 per year to demonstrate financial capacity for a student visa. DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst — German Academic Exchange Service) scholarships offer full funding including living stipends for deserving Indian students.

Germany's quality of life is outstanding. Safe, efficient, and centrally located in Europe, Germany is home to over 200,000 Indian diaspora — one of the fastest-growing Indian communities in Europe, concentrated in Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stuttgart, and Hamburg. After completing your German degree, you are entitled to an 18-month Residence Permit for Job Search (§16e AufenthG) to find employment anywhere in Germany — with no job offer required when applying. After 2-3 years of skilled employment, you can apply for a German Permanent Residence Permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis), and after 8 years of residence, you qualify for German citizenship — one of the world's most powerful passports with visa-free access to 190+ countries.
