Admission to Dubai Universities
Most Dubai international university campuses require IELTS 6.0-6.5 (overall) for undergraduate programmes and IELTS 6.5-7.0 for postgraduate programmes. TOEFL iBT 75-90 is also widely accepted. Some universities (particularly for MBA programmes) accept Duolingo English Test scores. Academic requirements for undergraduate admissions are typically 60%+ in Class 12 (10+2) for most programmes, with 65%+ for engineering and science programmes. Postgraduate admissions typically require 55-60%+ in a relevant Bachelor's degree. Most Dubai universities have rolling admissions — meaning you can apply year-round rather than being restricted to single annual deadlines. This is a major advantage for Indian students who may receive their Class 12 results in May-June and wish to start in September of the same year. Required documents typically include: completed application form, academic transcripts and certificates (attested), English language test scores, Statement of Purpose (SOP), CV/Resume (for postgraduate), two academic or professional references, copy of passport, and passport-sized photographs. For MBA programmes, GMAT or GRE scores may be required (typically GMAT 500-600 range for most Dubai MBA programmes, though some accept applications without GMAT for experienced professionals).
Indian qualifications must be attested for UAE visa purposes. The attestation process involves: State Education Board attestation, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) attestation in India, and UAE Embassy attestation — a process our counsellors are fully familiar with and can guide you through efficiently. Once you receive a conditional or unconditional offer letter from a Dubai university, you pay your acceptance fee (typically AED 1,000-3,000), submit your documents for KHDA verification, and your university then sponsors your UAE Student Residence Visa.
